For years I watched something the big publishers missed. Alternative learning spaces, microschools, multi-age rooms, and homeschool settings were growing fast, and the curriculum built for traditional brick-and-mortar schools simply did not fit them. It assumed a single grade, a full support staff, and a teacher with hours to spare. None of that matched the rooms I was seeing.

I watched microschool teachers and founders struggle to find anything that actually worked for them. I watched them pour late nights into personalizing every lesson for every student while trying to keep their school afloat. They were doing extraordinary work with tools that were never designed for their reality. What they needed was not one more thing to adapt. It was a curriculum that understood the room they actually teach in.
